I have finally completed my magazine project for my Design, Layout and Media Writing class. I learned a lot about purposeful design and layout. It was quite a struggle at first trying to organize all the article layouts but I’m quite happy with how they turned out and feel comfortable doing more in the future.
I think the most difficult part was the actual writing portion, since I’ve never been a big fan of writing as design and art has been more my speed. But nontheless I think it worked well.
My favourite page has to be the Full Circle Book Co-op spread. I think it stands out the most because it’s such a different style than the rest of the magazine but I think it captures the mood and overall aesthetic of the business really well.
